Pages 3-4: Those with a deep faith in God, and particularly in the God of the Bible, Jehovah, have more reasons to love life. True faith is a source of strength and serenity that can help people to deal with difficult times.
Note: True Christians place their faith in Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Page 4: Believers in the true God can confidently say: "Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid." (Hebrews 13:6)
Note: Is the Holy Spirit your Helper?
John 14:16-17 "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
Page 4: The Bible leaves no aura of mystery around the purpose of life and what death means. It says that in death "there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom" and that the dead "are conscious of nothing at all." (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10)
Note: In context, dead bodies can't work, plan, think, love, hate, or express jealousy.
Ecclesiastes 9:6 Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun.
Pages 4-5: In other words, the dead are dead. The doctrine of the immortal soul is not Biblical, so there is no profound mystery to be solved about the condition of the dead.
Correction: The body is not the soul, unless Paul was wrong.
1 Thess. 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Page 5: Long ago, God promised that he would create "new heavens and a new earth." (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3:13) That would involve his choosing a limited group of faithful Christians for life in heaven.
Correction: All true Christians have the hope of resurrected bodies in heaven.
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Page 5: Together with Jesus Christ, they form a governmental nucleus. The Bible refers to this as "the kingdom of the heavens," or "kingdom of God," which will administer "the things on the earth." (Matthew 4:17; 12:28; Ephesians 1:10; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3)
Correction: The administration of the "new earth" will occur on the "new earth."
Joel 3:12 "Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations."
Matthew 19:28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
Page 5: After destroying all godlessness on our globe and purifying it, God will bring in a righteous new human society, or "new earth."
Note: Jesus Christ will destroy all godlessness on our globe when he returns to the earth.
Matthew 24:30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
Revelation 19:15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Page 5: This will include people whom God protects through the imminent destruction of this wicked system of things. (Matthew 24:3, 7-14, 21; Revelation 7:9, 13, 14)
Note: Only the 144,000 will be protected from the wrath of God upon the earth.
Revelation 7:2-4 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads." And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
Page 6: Isaiah 11:9 says: "The earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea." Because of inherited imperfection, among other things, it is not possible for us today to understand fully the scope of those words.
Correction: True Christians today have the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
Page 6: Just as an anchor holds a ship steady and prevents it from floundering, the hope of eternal life makes people stable and confident and enables them to confront the serious difficulties in life and even overcome them.
Note: The hope of eternal life is centered upon Jesus Christ.
Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Page 6: You too can have the same faith in God's promise of a new world that will soon be established. By earnestly studying the Bible, you will come to understand who Jehovah is and why he deserves your full trust. (Revelation 4:11)
Note: True Christians know both the Father and the Son.
John 14:7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Page 7: Like faithful men of old, we must remain in confident expectation of future events, motivated by faith as well as by love for God and for "the real life." The nearness of the new world provides a strong incentive for those who exercise faith in Jehovah and who love him.
Note: Do you love Jesus Christ?
Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Page 7: Such faith and love need to be cultivated in order to gain God's favor and protection during his great day, which is at hand. - Zephaniah 2:3; 2 Thessalonians 1:3; Hebrews 10:37-39.
Note: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ?
Romans 3:21-22 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
Page 7: So, do you love life? And do you desire even more "the real life" - life as an approved servant of God, with the prospect of a happy future, yes, with eternal life in view?
Note: Do you have abundant life through Jesus Christ or the Watchtower thief?
John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
Page 7: If that is what you seek, heed the exhortation of the apostle Paul, who wrote that we should 'rest our hope, not on uncertain riches, but on God.'
Note: True Christians place their hope in Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,
Page 9: Jehovah gladly gives a 'peace that excels all thought,' which can release you from the gripping power of anger. - Philippians 4:7.
Note: Have you received godly peace from Jesus Christ?
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Page 9: Prayer, however, must be coupled with a regular examination of the Scriptures in order for us to "go on perceiving what the will of Jehovah is." (Ephesians 5:17; James 3:17)
Note: Have you placed your sincere trust in Jesus Christ?
John 6:40 "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
Page 9: The apostle Paul offers this important reminder: "Let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to us in the faith." (Galatians 6:10)
Note: True Christians place their faith in Jesus Christ.
Galatians 2:15-16 "We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified."
Page 9: The psalmist said: "Fix my own steps solidly in your saying, and may no kind of hurtful thing domineer over me. Abundant peace belongs to those loving your law, and for them there is no stumbling block." (Psalm 119:133, 165) That can be true of you too.
Note: True Christians have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ not the law.
Galatians 3:22-25 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Page 10: According to The New Encyclopaedia Britannica, Augustine's "mind was the crucible in which the religion of the New Testament was most completely fused with the Platonic tradition of Greek philosophy; and it was also the means by which the product of this fusion was transmitted to the Christendoms of medieval Roman Catholicism and Renaissance Protestantism
Note: The Watchtower is now relying on the wisdom of this world instead of the Bible.
1 Corinthians 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
Page 12: Starting in the second century C.E., "Christian" thinkers made a determined effort to reach the pagan intellectuals. Despite the apostle Paul's clear warning against "the empty speeches that violate what is holy" and "the contradictions of the falsely called 'knowledge,'" such teachers integrated in their teachings philosophical elements from the surrounding Hellenistic culture. (1 Timothy 6:20)
Correction: Paul preached to pagan intellectuals giving examples from their own poets.
Acts 17:26-28 "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'"
Page 12: It has been noted that "the Christian Platonists gave primacy to revelation and regarded Platonic philosophy as the best available instrument for understanding and defending the teachings of Scripture and church tradition."
Note: Plato's influence throughout the history of philosophy has been monumental. When he died, Speusippus (407?-339BC) became head of the Academy. The school continued in existence until AD 529, when it was closed by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I, who objected to its pagan teachings. Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia, Volume 21, page 73.
Page 12: Significantly, one of the most prominent false teachings that crept into "Christian" theology is that of the immortality of the soul. Accepting this teaching can in no way be justified on the grounds that doing so made Christianity more appealing to the masses.
Correction: The soul is not the physical body.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Page 12: When preaching in Athens, the very heart of Greek culture, the apostle Paul did not teach the Platonic doctrine of the soul. Rather, he preached the Christian doctrine of the resurrection, even though many of his Greek listeners found it hard to accept what he said.
Correction: Paul preached Jesus Christ and the ressurrection, not paradise earth.
Acts 17:18 Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, "What does this babbler want to say?" Others said, "He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods," because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.
Page 12: Contrary to Greek philosophy, the Scriptures clearly show that the soul is not what a person has but what he is. (Genesis 2:7) At death, the soul ceases to exist. (Ezekiel 18:4)
Correction: The Watchtower agrees fully with Aristotle.
The soul, for Aristotle, is the form, or actuality, of the body, and humans, whose rational soul is a higher form than the souls of other terrestrial species, are the highest species of perishable things. Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia, Volume 20, page 356.
Note: Jesus Christ disagrees with the Watchtower and Aristotle.
Mark 12:26-27 "But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken."
Pages 12-13: Ecclesiastes 9:5 tells us: "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten."
Note: The Watchtower is ignorant of the theme of Ecclesiastes.
Ecclesiastes 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.
Note: The theme of Ecclesiastes is this life is vanity, but the life hereafter is not.
Page 13: The doctrine of the immortality of the soul is not taught in the Bible.
Correction: The Watchtower can only quote three Old Testament verses out of context.
Luke 16:22-25 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.'"
Page 13: Another deceptive teaching had to do with the position of the prehuman Jesus, the notion that he was equal to his Father. Explains the book The Church of the First Three Centuries: "The doctrine of the Trinity ... had its origin in a source entirely foreign from that of the Jewish and Christian Scriptures." What was that source?
Correction: The source is the Christian Scripture.
Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
Page 13: By philosophical reasoning they claimed that three persons could be one God while retaining their individuality!
Correction: True Christians read Scripture and are taught by the Holy Spirit.
John 10:27-30 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one."
John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me."
Page 13: The truth of the Bible, however, clearly shows that Jehovah alone is Almighty God, Jesus Christ is His lesser created Son, and the holy spirit is His active force. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5; Acts 2:4; Colossians 1:15; Revelation 3:14)
Note: The Hebrew word 'echad is defined as "a grouping of one."
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear O Israel: Our Jehovah God is a grouping of one Jehovah. (amplified)
Note: The Hebrew word 'elohim is the plural title for God. (Isaiah 45:5)
Genesis 1:26 Then God ('elohim) said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Note: The Watchtower teaches science fiction such as "The force be with you."
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
Note: How can Jesus be created when He created everything?
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Note: The Greek word arche may be defined commencement, chief, beginning, magistrate, power, principality, principle, or rule.
Revelation 3:14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning (commencer, beginner, power) of the creation of God:'"
Note: The Watchtower implies that God was speechless at some point in time.
John 1:1-2 In the beginning (arche) was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning (arche) with God.
Page 13: The Trinity doctrine dishonors the only true God and confuses people, turning them away from a God they cannot comprehend.
Correction: The Trinity doctrine explains how to know the Father through the Son by the Spirit.
John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
Page 13: None of the above-mentioned developments had anything to do with the truth. This truth is the entire body of Christian teachings as found in the Bible. (2 Corinthians 4:2; Titus 1:1, 14; 2 John 1-4) The Bible is the one and only source of truth. - John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16.
Note: The Watchtower has missed Jesus Christ again.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Page 13: However, the enemy of Jehovah, of truth, of humankind, and of everlasting life - Satan the Devil, the "manslayer" and the "father of the lie" - has used a variety of devious ways to adulterate that truth. (John 8:44; compare 2 Corinthians 11:3.)
Note: The Watchtower is being used by Satan to adulterate the truth.
John 8:18-19 "I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me." Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also."
Page 13: Today, under the direction of the Head of the congregation, Jesus Christ, true Christian teaching has been restored.
Correction: True Christian teaching never had to be restored.
Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. by Christ Jesus
Page 13: Jehovah's Witnesses are willing and eager to help such ones find the unadulterated waters of truth and to assist them to get a firm hold on the inheritance of everlasting life offered by our Father, Jehovah. - John 4:14; 1 Timothy 6:19.
Correction: Jehovah's Witnesses will not tell you about the importance of Jesus name.
John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
Page 14: Central to the question of God's involvement in human affairs is the fact that Jehovah is a God of purpose. That is implicit in his very name. "Jehovah" means "He Causes to Become."
Correction: "Jehovah" is not the name for God since there is no "J" sound in the Hebrew.
Note: True Christians honor God through the name of Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Page 14: Long before he created the first man and woman, Jehovah made loving preparation for them. The opening chapters of the book of Genesis describe how Jehovah established day and night, land and sea. Next he created vegetation and animal life.
Note: Jesus Christ created everything.
John 1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
Note: God created everything by Himself.
Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;"
Page 14: This preparation of the earth for human habitation involved many thousands of years. The project was successfully completed.
Correction: God created everything in six days. Is the Watchtower advocating evolution?
Genesis 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Page 16: Like Joshua of old, Christians today are fully confident that God is willing and able to act in behalf of those who serve him. This conviction is an essential part of our faith.
Note: True Christians serve Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God
Page 18: Whereas Noah was to build an ark, God's servants today are to proclaim Jehovah's purposes, teach his Word, and make disciples. - Matthew 28:19.
Correction: True Christians proclaim Jesus Christ.
Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.
Pages 18-19: He is supporting and sustaining his people as they work to complete the preaching of the good news before God's appointed time to end this wicked system of things arrives.
Note: The good news is about Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the good news which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you; unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
Page 19: We are assured, too, that Christ Jesus is with us in this work and that we can rely on angelic backing and direction. - Matthew 28:20; Revelation 14:6.
Correction: Jesus Christ is personally with true Christians.
Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
Page 19: This has called for an international preaching and teaching campaign. In the first century, this preaching made the Christian congregation "a pillar and support of the truth."
Note: The true Christian message is centered on Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.
Page 19: Afterward came a long period of apostasy in which the light of truth became dim.
Correction: True Christians have always proclaimed Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Page 19: In recent times, during "the time of the end," "true knowledge" has again become abundant, bringing a Bible-based hope of everlasting salvation to millions. - Daniel 12:4.
Correction: The true knowledge of Jesus Christ was has always been available.

Page 20: Like an experienced shepherd who knows both how to direct and how to protect his flock, Jehovah guides his people. He leads them toward salvation, protecting their spirituality and moving them to take advantage of situations and developments that promote the successful preaching of the good news worldwide. - Psalm 23:1-4.
Note: Jesus Christ is the good shepherd.
John 10:14 "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own."
Page 20: As was the building of the ark in Noah's day, the work of Kingdom preaching has been an enormous project - both in the first century and in modern times.
Correction: True Christians preach Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
Page 20: Similarly, as "the time of the end" began in 1914, the anointed Christians were few, and adherents to other religions claiming to serve God were many. - Daniel 12:9.
Note: 1914 is based on the bogus date of 607 BCE for the destruction of Jerusalem.
Page 20: Jesus had warned his followers that they would be persecuted. He said: "People will deliver you up to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name." (Matthew 24:9)
Note: Are you suffering for the name of Jesus?
Page 20: While Jehovah knew that there would be difficulties, he also knew that nothing would stop the work. Success was foretold in a well-known prophecy having a remarkable fulfillment in both the first and the 20th centuries: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth." - Matthew 24:14.
Correction: The end of this wicked system of things did not occur in the first century.
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. "
Note: Only a few months are left in the 20th century before the Watchtower is proved wrong.
Page 20: By the time Paul wrote to the Colossians, about 27 years after the death of Jesus, he could say of the good news that it was "preached in all creation that is under heaven."
Note: In context, Paul was referring to the "Roman" world.
Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.
Note: Caesar Augustus had no authority in China.
Pages 20-21: On one occasion Paul and Silas were brutally beaten with rods and thrown into prison. What an unlikely situation in which to make disciples! Yet, Jehovah used the situation to do just that. Paul and Silas were released, and the jailer together with his family became believers. (Acts 16:19-33)
Note: Have you put your faith and trust into the Lord Jesus Christ?
Acts 16:31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

Psalm 118:24-26 This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.
Matthew 21:9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"
Page 21: Well, a monumental development was the enthronement of Jesus in heaven, which marked the beginning of his presence in Kingdom power. Bible prophecy shows that this took place in 1914. (Daniel 4:13-17)
Correction: The presence of Jesus Christ occurred at Pentecost.
Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 2:1-2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Page 22: Though Jesus accurately foretold that in the times involved 'nation would rise against nation,' there were intervals of stability that made possible intense Kingdom preaching.
Note: True Kingdom preaching involves Jesus Christ.
Mark 10:15 "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Page 22: People sensing such a need often respond favorably to the good news of the world government that will bring genuine and lasting peace - God's Kingdom.
Correction: The good news is about Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the good news of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 But even if our good news is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the good news of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Page 26: Yes, true worshipers of God are nourished by reading Jehovah's expressions found in his Word. Additionally, their faith is strengthened when they experience the beneficial effects of these expressions in their lives as they walk with God and put his Kingdom interests in first place.
Correction: Jesus Christ needs to be first place in your life.
Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Page 27: One way is by never allowing Bible teachings or the provisions we receive through the faithful and discreet slave class to become ordinary, or commonplace. (Matthew 24:45) Once we start to take Jehovah's gifts for granted or become bored with them, our relationship with him begins to cool off.
Correction: True Christians abide in Jesus Christ not the Watchtower.
John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
Page 27: For good reason, Jehovah does not flood us with a constant downpour of exciting new things. Rather, he sheds increased light on his Word gradually, progressively. (Proverbs 4:18)
Note: Are you following Jesus Christ or the Watchtower new light that becomes old light?
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
Page 27: Jesus had to teach them about humility on a number of occasions, each time presenting the same basic point from a different angle so that it would sink in, which it eventually did.
Correction: Only through the Holy Spirit can true spiritual concepts be practiced.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Page 27: In modern times, Christian meetings and Watch Tower publications follow Jesus' example in the well-thought-out use of repetition.
Note: This is the practice of cults.
Page 27: The majority of those who benefit from Jesus' ransom will enjoy everlasting life on a paradise earth. "A great crowd" of these - prefigured by the "vast mixed company" of aliens who joined the Israelites in their Exodus from Egypt - will survive the coming "great tribulation" that will rid the earth of all wickedness. (Revelation 7:9, 10, 14; Exodus 12:38)
Correction: The "great crowd" will be protected from the "great tribulation" in heaven.
Revelation 19:1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!"
Page 27: An even greater reward is enjoyed by those whom the Israelites themselves foreshadowed. The apostle Paul described these ones, numbering 144,000, as constituting the spiritual Israel of God.
Correction: The "Israel of God" refers to believing Jews in contrast to believing Gentiles.
Galatians 6:16 ... peace and mercy be upon them (Gentiles), and upon the Israel of God.
