THE CHRISTIAN HEAVEN
1) There will be joy in the presence of God.
Jude 1:24-25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with
exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
2) There will be rest in the presence of God.
Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me,
"Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.'"
"Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors,
and their works follow them."
3) There will be peace in the presence of God.
Luke 19:37-38 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the
Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to
rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works
they had seen, saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of
the LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
4) There will be righteousness in the presence of God.
Psalms 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and
righteousness shall look down from heaven.
5) The Christian inheritance is to be in the presence of
God.
Colossians 3:23-24 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord
and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the
reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
6) There will be praise to God in the presence of the Father
and the Son.
Revelation 19:5-9 Then a voice came from the throne, saying,
"Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both
small and great!" And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great
multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty
thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of
the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." And to her
it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the
fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me,
"Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of
the Lamb!'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of
God."
7) The focus in heaven will be toward the Father and the Son in
the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the
earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that
are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and
power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and
ever!"
Note: False religions promote self-focus and self-indulgence in
the life hereafter.
Qur'an 37:40-44 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. For
them is a known sustenance: Fruits. And they are honored, in Gardens
of delight, on thrones, facing each other.
Note: Christians can experience the presence of God now in the
Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control. Against such there is no law.
