Ephesians Chapter 3

Ephesians 3 highlights Paul’s mission to reveal the "mystery" that Gentiles are equal heirs with Jews in Christ. Verse 1: Who should we be a prisoner of?
For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— Ephesians 3:1

Verse 2: What age are we living now?
if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, Ephesians 3:2
Answer: We are living in the age of grace.

Verse 3: How was this age communicated to Paul?
how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, Ephesians 3:3
Answer: God made known this age of grace to Paul by revelation.

Verse 4: Who is the central figure in this age?
by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), Ephesians 3:4
Answer: Jesus Christ is the central figure of this age.

Verses 5-6: What is the central feature of this age?
which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, Ephesians 3:5-6
Answer: Gentiles will be fellow heirs of the promise of God in Jesus Christ.

Verse 7: What gift did Paul receive?
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. Ephesians 3:7
Answer: Paul received the gift of grace to become a minister of Jesus Christ.

Verse 8: What propelled Paul to preach Jesus Christ?
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, Ephesians 3:8
Answer: Paul discovered the grace of God that was given to him.

Verse 9: What is the mystery of God?
and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; Ephesians 3:9
Answer: The fellowship of Jews and Gentiles together in Jesus Christ.

Verse 10: The wisdom of God of heaven will be known by whom?
to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, Ephesians 3:10
Answer: The wisdom of God will be known by the church or us.

Verse 11: The eternal purpose of God was accomplished by who?
according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, Ephesians 3:11
Answer: Jesus Christ accomplished the eternal purpose of God.

Verse 12: Through faith we have what?
in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Ephesians 3:12
Answer: We have access to God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Verse 13: We should not lose heart due to what?
Therefore, I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. Ephesians 3:13
Answer: We should not lose heart due to tribulation.

Verses 14-15: Who did Paul worship?
For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, Ephesians 3:14-15
Answer: Paul worshipped God the Father.
 
Verse 16: Who strengthens us?
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, Ephesians 3:16
Answer: The Holy Spirit strengthens us.

Verse 17: Who dwells in our hearts due to faith resulting in love?
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:17
Answer: Jesus Christ dwells in our hearts through faith resulting in love.

Verses 18-19: What are we to know that fills us with fullness of God?
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18-19
Answer: We are to know the love of Jesus Christ that fills us with the fullness of God.

Verses 20-21: How have believers given glory to God in all generations?
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
Answer: People in the church have given glory to God by Jesus Christ.
