Dan 9:24 "Seventy weeks are determined for your people (Jews not Gentiles) and for your holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
Dan 9:25 "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall (not the temple), even in troublesome times.
Dan 9:26 "And after the sixty-two weeks (434 years or 156,240 days) Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince (the Romans) who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 Then he (future world leader) shall confirm a covenant with many for one week (7 years); but in the middle of the week (after 3.5 years) he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. and on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate." AMEN!!!
Ezra 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,
Ezra 1:2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house (temple not wall) at Jerusalem which is in Judah.
Ezra 1:3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house (temple not wall) of the LORD God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.
Ezra 1:4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house (temple not wall) of God which is in Jerusalem.
Ezra 1:5 Then the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with all whose spirits God had moved, arose to go up and build the house (temple not wall) of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
Ezra 1:6 And all those who were around them encouraged them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
Neh 2:4 Then the king said to me, "What do you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven.
Neh 2:5 And I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it."
Neh 2:6 Then the king said to me (the queen also sitting beside him), "How long will your journey be? And when will you return?" So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
Neh 2:7 Furthermore I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, let letters be given to me for the governors of the region beyond the River, that they must permit me to pass through till I come to Judah,
Neh 2:8 "and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he must give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel which pertains to the temple, for the city wall, and for the house that I will occupy." And the king granted (March 6, 445 BC) them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me.
The command to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem was given to Nehemiah not Ezra. Thus the timing of the seventy weeks prophecy given to Daniel starts on March 6th, 445 BC.
