Page 4: Jehovah's Witnesses are well-known for their zealous preaching about God's Kingdom. Each year, they collectively spend more than a billion hours sharing the Bible's heartening message with others. This is in fulfillment of Jesus' words: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)

Correction: The good news of the kingdom is Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake."

Page 4: The message that the Witnesses bring is indeed "good news," for it heralds God's heavenly Kingdom as the only hope for mankind. And what a solid hope for the future it is!

Correction: True Christians place their hope in Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope, to Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Page 6: The keynote address, "Our Role as Messengers of Godly Peace," called attention to the release of Jewish exiles from Babylon and the restoration of pure worship in Jerusalem in 537 B.C.E.

Correction: Pure Jewish worship did not occur until the temple was rebuilt in 516 BC.

The Jews turned their attention to rebuilding, and in 516 BC the Second Temple was completed. The latter date is regarded, in the Jewish tradition, as the true end of the exile in Babylon, which thus endured 70 years (586-516 BC).Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia, Volume 15, page 58.

Page 6: Our present assignment is to preach the good news about this Kingdom and to live in harmony with that message. Love for God and neighbor should impel us to continue in this work without letup. - Acts 5:42.

Correction: True Christians will preach Jesus Christ.

Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Page 6: In contrast, the New World Translation adheres so faithfully to the original-language test that it has served to clarify our thinking on a number of Scriptural matters.

Correction: This NWT adds words to twist the meaning of Scripture. (John 1:1 & Col. 1:16-17)

NWT: In (the) beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

NJKV: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

NWT: because by means of him all (other) things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All (other) things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all (other) things and by means of him all (other) things were made to exist,

NJKV: For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Page 8: In their speech, conduct, and grooming, Christian men and women strive to follow Bible standards. Said the speaker: "A man who displays the fruitage of the spirit is easy to respect, and a woman who does so is easy to love." - Galatians 5:22, 23.

Correction: Good fruitage is a matter of the heart not outward appearance.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Page 8: Many Christians have financial anxieties. Nevertheless, Jehovah promises: "I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)

Note: Jesus makes the same promise!

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Page 10: THERE is good news to be proclaimed! It is news of peace - real peace.

Note: Real peace comes from Jesus Christ.

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Page 11: At the time of Jesus' birth, angels had appeared to shepherds near Bethlehem, praising God and saying: "Glory in the heights above to God, and upon earth peace among men of goodwill." (Luke 2:8, 13, 14)

Note: Sounds like a birthday party to me!

Page 12: God's message of peace is needed by all humankind. Jesus personally set a zealous example in preaching it. He did so in the temple area in Jerusalem, on the mountainside, along the road, to a Samaritan woman at a well, and in the homes of the people. Wherever there were people, Jesus made opportunities to preach about peace and the Kingdom of God. - Matthew 4:18, 19; 5:1, 2; 9:9; 26:55; Mark 6:34; Luke 19: 1-10; John 4: 5-26.

Correction: Jesus Christ preached about Himself.

Matthew 4:19 Then He said to them, " Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Matthew 5:11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

Matthew 9:9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, " Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him.

Matthew 26:64 Jesus said to him, "It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Luke 19:10 "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."

Page 12: Jesus taught his disciples to preach God's message of peace. Just as Jesus was Jehovah's "faithful and true witness," they recognized that they also had the responsibility to witness. (Revelation 3:14; Isaiah 43:10-12) They looked to Christ as their Leader.

Correction: The Father was also a witness of Jesus Christ.

John 8:18 "I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me."

Page 12-13: With a desire to miss no one, they carried on their ministry both in public places and from house to house. - Acts 17:17; 20:20.

Correction: Most of Paul's preaching was done publicly or in his own house.

Acts 28:30-31 Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

Page 15: The message that has been entrusted to us by God is something that people need to hear. It is a message of peace. Indeed, it is the message that Jesus himself preached - the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Correction: The good news of the Kingdom of God is not paradise earth.

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Page 19: The first requirement is taking in knowledge of God.

Page 19: How do we take in knowledge of God? There are two books that can help us. One is the book of creation.

Page 20: For answers to such questions, we must go to the other book that imparts knowledge of God - the Bible.

Note: Now, lets finally go the Holy Bible to get an answer!

John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

Page 20: As we take in knowledge of God, we come to realize that we need to make changes in our lives. This brings us to the second requirement. We must measure up to God's standards for right conduct and accept his truth.

Note: Putting on the righteousness of God only comes by faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:21-24 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Page 21: Let us now discuss a third requirement of God. We must show respect for life and blood.

Note: Common respect for life was covered under loving your neighbor by Jesus Christ.

Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him,

" 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Page 22: This brings us to the fourth requirement. We must serve Jehovah with his spirit-directed organization.

Correction: Satan uses organizations to draw people away from God.

Galatians 2:11-13 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

Page 22: According to the standards set out in the Scriptures, they have real love among themselves, they have deep respect for the Bible, they honor God's name, they preach about his Kingdom, and they are no part of this wicked world. (Matthew 6:9; 24:14; John 13:34, 35; 17:16, 17) There is only one religious organization on this earth that has all these marks of true Christianity - Jehovah's Witnesses!

Note: Sadly, Jehovah's Witnesses are preaching the false good news of paradise earth.

Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other good news to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other good news to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Page 22: Are we not in a similar situation? We have been pulled from the dangerous "waters" of this wicked world into the "lifeboat" of Jehovah's earthly organization.

Correction: True Christians are of God because they have the Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Page 22: This brings us to the fifth requirement of God. We must be loyal proclaimers of God's Kingdom.

Note: The apostle Paul preached Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,

Page 23: What is God's Kingdom? and what will it accomplish that makes the Kingdom message such good news? God's Kingdom is a heavenly government.

Correction: The good news is Jesus Christ!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the good news which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you; unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

Page 24: Similarly, the work of preaching and disciple making is an obligation, a requirement, on which our very lives depend. Paul put it this way: "Necessity is laid upon me. Really, woe is me if I did not declare the good news!" (1 Corinthians 9:16; compare Ezekiel 33:7-9.)

Note: The good news is Jesus Christ! (compare 1 Corinthians 9:18 NKJV)
