An
account of the death of Lehi. Nephi’s brethren rebel against him. The
Lord warns Nephi to depart into the wilderness. His journeyings in the
wilderness, and so forth.
Chapter 1 - Lehi prophesied about America; exhorted Laman, Lemuel, and Sam; blessed Zoram.
Chapter 2 - Lehi prophesied about Jacob and Jesus; recalled Adam and exalted mankind's free will.
Chapter 3 - Lehi prophesied about the seed of his son Joseph and about Joseph Smith.
Chapter 4 - Lehi prophesied over the children of Laman, Lemuel, and Sam; Nephi brags & laments.
Chapter 5 - Nephi begins Nephite civilization; Lamanites are cursed with black skin; wars begin.
Chapter 6 - Nephi's brother Jacob (Sidney Rigdon) preached from Isaiah 49 verses 22 and 23.
Chapter 7 - Sidney Rigdon copied Isaiah chapter 50.
Chapter 8 - Sidney Rigdon copied Isaiah chapter 51 through 52:2.
Chapter 9 - Jacob (Sidney Rigdon) preached on righteousness and sin.
Chapter 10 - Jacob (Sidney Rigdon) preached that America is the land of inheritance.

Chapter 30 - The wicked will be destroyed and portions of Isaiah 11 copied.
Chapter 31 - Nephi (Sidney Rigdon) taught water baptism as the way to eternal life.
Chapter 32 - Evidence of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues per Sidney Rigdon.
Chapter 33 - Nephi (Sidney Rigdon) proclaims that his words are scripture.
