LDS History

What kind of men were Joseph and Hyrum Smith? They lived in the shadowy underworld of counterfeiters from their earliest times and were suspected of counterfeiting as early as when they hid in caves in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. This study has revealed evidence that they cloaked their crimes in inner circle secrecy and under the guise of "the only true Christianity." Moreover, they led thousands of people to give up their own powers of discernment and follow Joseph under any and all circumstances, under pain of death, whether "right or wrong." Smith claimed the Mormons were persecuted. But though neighbors tolerated strange beliefs, they could not abide with theft, counterfeit money, lack of justice in the courts controlled by Mormons, and an advancing militarism. Pro-Mormon historians have traditionally relied upon four arguments in dismissing the Spaulding Enigma: (1) that Solomon Spalding wrote only a single novel, Manuscript Story - Conneaut Creek; (2) that Doctor Hurlbut's hateful desire to destroy Joseph Smith and the Church renders his evidence hopelessly biased and unacceptable; (3) that Sidney Rigdon was not in Pittsburgh until 1822 and never had any connections with the print shops there; and (4) that Rigdon's first contact with Joseph Smith took place in late 1830, many months after The Book of Mormon had already been published. Who Really Wrote the Book of Mormon, page 99.

The Mormon LDS church was started by con artists, believed in by religious fanatics, grown in isolation by criminals, established by liars, and should never ever be considered Christian. Independent evidence shows that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the largest criminal organization in the United States of America during the 19th century. May this evidence liberate enslaved LDS members and empower those who will confront the present false statements of the Mormon LDS church.
